All wire rope is lubricated at the time of manufacture, but in time and use it needs to be relubed because wire rope rusts from the inside out. It is what cannot be seen that can cause the most problems.

A proper lubricant must penetrate to the wire rope's core, not just cover the outside in order to properly protect it.

AISCO can furnish the proper corrosion inhibitor lubricant which is available in aerosol spray cans, 5 gallon pails or 55 gallon drums.

Remember for safety, wire rope should be inspected on a regular basis.
